Tatyana McFadden Completes Grand Slam

By admin - Posted on 05 November 2013

Congratulations to Paralympian Tatyana MaFadden!
McFadden, a University of Illinois college senior, has done something no one else has ever done -- she won all of the marathon majors in one calendar year, completing a marathon Grand Slam.
The six-time gold medalist in six world championship distances won Boston, London, Chicago and New York.  While she dominated Boston by winning by a minute and a half, she won both London and Chicago by a mere two seconds.  She recaptured the title in New York in 3:41.
Now she is setting sights on her winter season where she hopes to compete for a spot on the U.S. Paralympic Team in cross-country skiing.
